How to Respond to Animals in a Disaster Training

Featured image

Marin County CERTs are invited to the first Advanced Training of 2016, Animal Response in a Disaster.

Join us for a discussion and demonstration of animal response in a disaster setting. CERTs will find this informative presentation helpful, as they may encounter lost/injured animals, both domestic and wild, as they work within their neighborhood and community following a disaster.

Learn  about the amazing adaptive abilities of our pets and how to include them in our emergency plans. Demonstrations include when to safely approach an apparent lost pet encountered in your neighborhood as you work as a CERT and how to interpret their behavioral cues.

Cindy Machado, Director of Animal Services at the Marin Humane Society, will be our presenter.
