Get Ready Preparedness Classes
Get Ready is our basic preparedness program, a free one-hour class (online and in-person) on how to be safe before, during and after a disaster.
Offered throughout Marin County, we walk you through the basics: understand hazards, how to sign up for alerts, make a plan, organize emergency supplies, and other strategies to keep your family safe. Many Marin public safety agencies offer this course to teach you what to do before, during and after a disaster.
California for All: Listos California
The State of California has worked with communities across the state to boost resiliency, provide new accessible in-language information and advance a new culture of disaster preparedness. The goal of Listos California is to prepare the most vulnerable populations for disasters before they strike.

Fire Safe Marin: Programs for Kids
Fire Safe Marin offers resources to help kids and their families prepare for emergencies. A series of short and engaging videos help children understand the threats posed by wildfires, floods, earthquakes, and power outages.
Questions and activities between each video test comprehension and encourage conversation and actions to keep safe. Homework assignments invite the whole family to take part in making a plan to stay safe.
