How to be ready at work

Here are a few tips for preparing for disasters at work

  • Have a go-bag with you. Maybe in the trunk of your car or in a locker at work. Pack what you would need if you couldn’t get home for a night or two.
  • Sign up for alerts. Make sure you are signed up for alerts at your place of work as well as for your home
  • Know where safety items are. Can you easily locate the fire extinguisher and first aid kit in your workplace?
  • Take a first aid class. Basic first aid training is always useful whether at work or at home.
